Credentials: He received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and has practiced in Austin since that time. He holds a Diplomate in Group Psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology and is a Certified Health Services Provider.

Experience: Dr. Lowry was on the Educational Psychology and General Studies faculties at the University of Texas and was Director of Training at the UT Counseling-Psychological Services Center for many years. He has been president of a number of professional mental health organizations including:
He is a Fellow of the American Group Psychotherapy Association and has spent many years in Boy Scout and organizational leadership in the Austin area. He is a past representative from Texas to the American Psychological Association Council and has served on numerous community service boards in the Central Texas area.
Dr. Lowry has been in clinical practice since 1969 with Affiliated Psychological Services. He is married to Dr. Alaire H. Lowry, is the father of two adult sons and has one very special granddaughter.
